What is Everything DiSC on Catalyst?
Everything DiSC on catalyst is an interactive learning platform, which takes the content of the ‘traditional’ DiSC profiles and presents it in an interactive form, which is essentially accessible online. Participants complete an online questionnaire and once completed, they are taken into Catalyst where they can discover information about their DiSC style, they can connect with their colleagues, and learn about their colleagues DiSC styles and how they can connect and work better together. They can also create group maps to shed a light on team dynamics and can create several group maps for different teams that they’re working with. So instead of generating a traditional paper-based version of the DiSC Workplace profile and then having to generate a team map, it’s all done together on one platform that all participants can access.
You still get access to the PDF version of the report as a facilitator, and as a participant, so you can still download a PDF version from Epic account, but the participant will also be able to access a PDF version of their report from within their own Catalyst portal.
What are the profiles available on Catalyst?
The profiles that are currently available on catalyst (as of March 2023) are the Everything DiSC Workplace Profile, the Management profile, and the Agile EQ profile. You have to do Workplace on Catalyst to start with, you can’t jump straight into Management or Agile EQ, but they are available as an add on.
What is the cost of all of that then?
For Everything DiSC Workplace, it remains 15 credits, so the same as the traditional Workplace Profile, but then it becomes more cost effective to add on Management and Agile EQ as they are only a 10 credit add on each. So, for example, if you were doing Workplace and Management, you would pay 25 credits in total. Whereas if you’re going down the traditional route, you would be paying 15 credits for Workplace and an additional 25 credits for Management, making it much more cost effective.
So, you’ve worked with individuals, or you’ve worked with teams, they’re going into the platform, accessing it, from a mobile, computer or a tablet, and they’re looking at information all about themselves information all about the people around them and their team and working out how to adapt. And then once they’ve come through the Workplace Profile, they can say, oh, how can I be a more effective manager, and then move on to Management on Catalyst. They’re accessing all of the DiSC information on the go, at any point, rather than potentially popping their paper DiSC profile in a drawer or something and not accessing it again or accessing it quite as much?
That’s exactly what it’s all about, it’s all in one place. And even the PDF reports now are combined into one. So, if you’ve got someone who has done Workplace, Management and Agile EQ, the PDF profile will combine all of them or you can separate them out if you wish. Catalyst makes the learning journey for the participant seamless.
How do they complete their DiSC profile?
The questionnaire is sent out from the EPIC platform as normal. Epic is still your administrative platform. They’ll complete a questionnaire, but they’ll complete questions on Workplace Management, Agile EQ and Productive Conflict all upfront. Now, Productive Conflict isn’t currently available on catalyst, but it may come in the future. The participant won’t realise they are doing that all up front, but they are, and it means in the future when you are adding on these additional profiles, they don’t have to do anything. You just simply initiate it within EPIC, and then they’ll log into Catalyst and have access to all that information.
Is there a way for me to access this, to demo it, to get a feel for the site? How does that work?
Absolutely. So, we can share with you a demo platform where we can share with you some details of how to access and view the platform for yourself with some fictional colleagues in there. But one of the best ways that you can experience it is to upgrade yourself. One of the additional benefits that’s available now (until 31st December 2024) is anyone who has completed any of the Everything DiSC profiles is eligible for free upgrade to Catalyst. We can share with you how to do that through your own Epic account and we also recommend if you’re within an organisation and thinking about using this with your organisation, or teams, to pilot it with your own team first, if they’ve done a profile already, upgrade them for free, and have an explorer and play around with the system with a small team to see the benefits which we definitely think you will.
