Develop Performance at McLaren
We’ve been involved with Mclaren F1 since 2018 supporting their pre-season team camps. The latest programme involved working with their Previous Car Project – supporting their new driver (Oscar Piastri) and the team of engineers and mechanics that use previous season’s race cars to get valuable practice time, both on track and in the garage.
We gave the team a number of outdoor problem solving tasks to complete and observed them working together to understand the problem, plan and execute. After each phase we facilitated feedback and development steps before the team tackled the next problem. This experiential cycle enabled critical changes to be identified in behaviour, communication and process. In the debrief we then helped them connect this to their “day” jobs and agreed actions that would develop performance.
