Collaborative Working
The challenge was to find a way to develop inter team efficiency and communication to increase performance across the whole organisation. The solution went far beyond traditional stakeholder management and explored the concept of collaborative working. A series of one day workshops (with pre and post activity) focussed on areas such as:
- Exploring who, when and how to engage colleagues and stakeholders to develop successful working relationships.
- Discuss understanding agendas and how they sit within the organisational landscape
- Explore alignment, productive conflict, influencing, gaining commitment, offering feedback and having some challenging conversations around accountability.
- Your role in promoting collaborative working
Each workshop had 15-20 participants from across the departments and these groups worked through pragmatic and practical steps to not only develop the skills and strategies they could employ but also put these steps into action during conversations with their colleagues in the workshop. The outcome – Creating a critical mass of colleagues that are excited about making the most of collaborative opportunities, have the tools to succeed and an organisation that benefits from a world-class collaborative culture.
