Julie Smith

Julie has 20+ years of experience in learning and development, over half of which comes from senior leadership roles, including heading national operations. She understands the complexities, challenges and rewards of leadership, having led teams of employees, freelancers, partner organisations and volunteers; as well as managing predecessors of her roles and co-workers who were previously in equal, or more senior posts. 

Underpinning her experience is a degree in psychology, a postgraduate qualification in executive coaching, accreditation by the ICF (International Coach Federation) and an appetite for continuous learning.

An established executive coach and facilitator, Julie works across five continents, using her expertise, humour and down-to-earth approach to partner with a wide range of industries including: global tech and social media, finance, law, healthcare, education, film and gaming, consulting, charity/non-profit and supply chain.

She loves using DiSC profiling tools to increase people’s understanding of themselves and others, helping them translate this into effective team working.

Julie also designs and facilitates sessions for leadership programmes in London, New York and Washington D.C.
